Pastors Tim and Jess are known as a “dynamic duo” by their IMPACTOR faith family and throughout the broader Twin Cities community. God united their hearts in marriage on August 15, 2003 and launched them into ministry two years later on July 3, 2005. They joyfully serve as co-laborers with Christ, through a strong “together” anointing based on their foundational scripture, “How can two walk together except they agree.” (Amos 3:3)

Senior Pastor Timothy Phillip Jackson

Rev. Dr. Timothy P. Jackson, affectionately known as “Pastor Tim,” is the Senior Pastor and Founder of IMPACT LIVING Ministry (ILM) located in the Seward neighborhood of South Minneapolis. Dr. Jackson is a people person, passionate orator, and transparent servant leader. After giving his life to Christ at the tender age of 15, he has never looked back or lost his passion for proclaiming God’s Word. Dr. Jackson has a particular passion for reaching men and sees their transformation as the key to healing families and transforming communities. Dr. Jackson’s message of liberation, justice, and equality centers on Howard Thurman’s philosophy and theological pedagogy. Dr. Jackson is an accomplished musician and has written several gospel spirituals. Dr. Jackson is also the Director of Faith Pedagogy at his and his wife’s newly founded school, Morning Glory Montessori, a school for little Black boys, the first of its kind in the country.

Dr. Jackson has discovered what makes him come alive and is deeply committed to fulfilling his prophetic imagination – preaching truth to power and proclaiming the gospel of liberation to those whose backs are hard-pressed against the wall. The poor. The disenfranchised and disinherited through the power of faith, hope, love, and reconciliation. Dr. Jackson has ministered in several foreign countries: the United Kingdom, West Africa, and Haiti. As a lifelong learner, he completed his undergraduate degree at Bethel University and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary, with a concentration in justice and reconciliation. Dr. Jackson completed his doctoral courses and defended his dissertation at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., in the Howard Thurman Doctoral Program. Dr. Jackson is married to his lovely soul mate, the Rev. Jessica Lynn Jackson J.D. He and his wife have four children and eleven grandchildren.

Lead Pastor Jessica Lynn Jackson

Pastor Jess is a visionary servant leader, passionate teacher, and seasoned professional. Like most women of God, she wears many hats. Ordained in 2009, Pastor Jess is a serious student and prophetic teacher of the Word of God. She shares her husband’s passion to build God’s Kingdom through reaching people for Christ, solving community problems, and building institutions.

As a “recovering attorney,” experienced organizational development consultant, and executive leadership coach, Pastor Jess provides keen administrative oversight for ILM and leadership development for the servant leaders, known as CORE IMPACTORS, who serve in over a dozen ministry areas. At her core, Pastor Jess is an educator committed to helping children and youth experience the joy of learning and discovering their God-given gifts and purpose. Pastor Jess was a Bush Leadership Fellow and in May 2019, she also graduated from the Montessori Center of MN with an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Casa dei Bambini (Primary 3-6 years) Diploma. Pastor Jess’ Montessori training serves her well as Founder and Head of School of Morning Glory Montessori (MGM), an all-boys, Afrocentric, faith-based, Montessori school for 3 years – 3rd grade, opening in fall 2023.
