Getting involved at ILCC is simple and involves a three-step process:
Step 1 – Complete “CROWD 2 CORE: Journey to Kingdom Discipleship” class
If God has planted you at ILM and you are ready to move from attending to becoming a healthy, functioning and connected member of our faith family, this class is for you. CROWD 2 CORE (C2C) class helps you understand the characteristics of a Godly servant, as opposed to a volunteer, and what it means to be a Kingdom disciple.
C2C starts with an orientation and overview of our vision, mission, values, beliefs and goals shared from our Pastors’ hearts. The remaining C2C sessions focus on the topics of New Beginnings, Servanthood, and Public Witness.
Step 2 – Become a CORE IMPACTOR by serving in one of ILM’s ministry areas
At the end of C2C, you will have an opportunity to go through a S.H.A.P.E. (spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, experiences) assessment process to discover more about your spiritual gifts and find a place of service at ILM that fits the unique way God has created, designed and SHAPED you for ministry.
Step 3 – Attend bimonthly CORE IMPACTOR All-Servants Meetings
All CORE IMPACTORS serving in the various ministry areas gather together bimonthly following Sunday service to grow in leadership, build ministry teams, and strengthen ILM’s community through four “exercises” – Connect, Communicate, Build and Develop.
At ILM, we are focused to serve God, one another, and the community. Serving in the Kingdom of God is about getting involved, giving of your time, and using your talents for the community’s benefit. After giving your life to Christ, serving is a vital next step to healthy spiritual growth and development.
“…Whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant…just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:26-28
